Being born in the slums of one of the STF's large cities she spent her first two years in an orphanage. At the age of five she was enrolled in a governmental preschool where she showed high intellect and when she graduated at age seven she was awarded a full scholarship for the Triad Academy, one of the most prestigious schools in the STF. Graduating high school at age twelve she spent the next six years of her life in university, studying nuclear physics, art and economics. Having had little to no friends since starting preschool, Maria grew up as a loner. When she was seventeen she was approached by a fellow student who, despite Maria's cold attitude, choose to stick with her. It was this woman that convinced Maria to stop studying at her eighteenth and start working. She quickly showed a knack for negotiations and at the age of twenty-one she single-handedly prevented the rupture of the Former Stellarian Triad Federation. When the STF joined the union she was unanimously forwarded as the senator by the Triad Boards.

When the Astrian Colonial Authority was established Maria remained as senator.

She retired from her position as senator in turn 174.
